About the Project

The main aim of the project is to establish the join research and education platform to enable the investigation and implementation of the issues of sustainable development in the agrisector of Visegrad countries and cooperating regions.

Project puts together main agricultural universities in Visegrad countries and the South-East Partnership countries in the medium of establishing the Visegrad University Association and the Visegrad Journal on Bioeconomics and Sustainable development. As a part of the newly established the Visegrad University Association several join activities will be introducted, including join research and teaching interests and approach to the new projects, international conferences, doctoral workshop and doctoral prize for the best research paper, as well as new, jointly published international books for international Visegrad summer school.

All activities will support cooperation among universities at Visegrad countries and cooperating region and will increase the awareness of the V4 via different media and project activities at the academic, higher education and research levels, as well as at the level of policy makers and local authorities.

Establishing of the Visegrad University Association will ensure the continuation of project activities, also after the project period. Main idea of designing and managing the project is to start activities of join interest which are of mutual benefits of all involved parties and will continue after the project. We suppose that also during the project implementation the number of the member universities of the Visegrad University Association will be continuously increasing. All project activities will deal with current topics of sustainability, biodiversity, bioeconomics, innovations and social inclusions.
